 Miscreants are an ensemble of theatre practitioners committed to the rigorous interrogation of English renaissance drama, primarily by means of single-sex rehearsal processes and transvestite performance. Their work on texts such as Love’s Sacrifice , The Witch of Edmonton, The Roaring Girl , A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Epicœne has been meticulously documented and is frequently used to feed into both academic research and practical educational workshops at a range of Universities in Britain and the United States.The company
has a special working relationship with the Workshop Theatre
(University of Leeds) and Unlimited Theatre (Leeds).
