This is the hall where the spectatators sat. In front of the stage is an open area, used for dancing. The raised platform - called the "state" - on which the King and Queen sat, is directly opposite the stage. It provided the best view of the perspective scenery. The wooden seats around the sides of the hall were used by other members of the royal court and guests.
